Vi hadde ikke kart (We did not have a map).

Line: What are you going to do with that bear?

Thomas: It's a wolverine, and it's not in it.

Camilla: What?

Rikke: The possible seems real and the truth exists, but it has many faces, as Hannah Arendt quotes from Franz Kafka.

Anna: 500 letters?

Liva: No, 238.

We are 11 students from different years at BA Medium- and Material-based Art at The Art Academy in Oslo, which makes The Drawing Lab. In The Drawing Lab we do drawing in a broad sense. We show drawings such as assemblage, imaginary drawing, drawing on print and drawing in installation. For some of us, drawing are more a part of the process than of the end result, but just as important.

"Vi hadde ikke kart" (We did not have a map) refers to long, convoluted discussions that led us to the opening on June 2. Who needs a map when the goal is wide open?

Rikke Sund Carlsen, Thomas Iversen, Anna Nyström, Ilona Treilib, Liva Wraae Roth, Beatrice Guttormsen, Camilla Norderhaug, Linda Hærnes, Line Prip, Nina Austnes Øien, Patricia Risopatron Berg.
