Øyvind Torseter's new marker and pastel drawings are displayed in the gallery and are put together into picture sequences in book form. The order and structure of the sequences are determined based on flow, colors and mood as much as based on a story. "Couplings" is a kind of relative of "Detours", which won the Bologna Ragazzi Award in 2008.
The book will be launched at the exhibition opening.
Øyvind Torseter (b. 1972) has also previously worked with drawing in book form. He has received a number of awards for his books. His previous book "The Hole" was named "Most Beautiful Book of the Year 2013" and will be published in nine countries. Several of his drawings have been purchased by the National Museum.
