Welcome to the exhibition opening 18.11 at 6pm.

GROTTEN

For several years, the artist duo aiPotu has carried out a number of expeditions that have formed the basis for GROTTEN. They have worked with performative stagings of situations and events that in different ways intervene in GROTTEN as a concept and narrative. GROTTEN is a result of this collaboration and is shown site-specific at Tegnerforbundet .

GROTTEN is a cavity for coexistence.Tegnerforbundet is the site of the survey. We use charcoal to create a common body. This is where the relationship between the inner and the outer space, the real and the constructed, the public and the private is under discussion. (aiPotu)

aiPotu consists of the visual artists Anders Kjellesvik (b. 1980) and Andreas Siqueland (b. 1973). They met while studying at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Their artistic collaboration began in 2004 with the purchase of a veteran motorhome. An eight drawn on the map of Europe became the first itinerary. Since then, aiPotu has created a number of site- and situation-specific works related to travel. Their work has been shown in a number of places, in public spaces, galleries and institutions, nationally and internationally. In 2008, aiPotu participated in the Biennale of Sydney and the group exhibition Pavilion 7 at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris.

The exhibition is supported by Billedkunstnernes Vederlagsfond.
