Hans Normann Dahl is a multifaceted artist, but for Tegnerforbundet he is primarily an illustrator. In this exhibition we therefore show illustrations and drawings made for folktales, Snekker Andersen and Magasinet for alle . Both sketches and finished work will be shown. Dahl is a prolific storyteller and illustrator and uses various techniques.
In connection with Dahl's 80th birthday this year, the book Hans Normann Dahl The Narrator has been published. The book has seven contributors and the editor is Bjarne Rogan. The book will be available in the exhibition.
Hans Normann Dahl is educated at SHKS and The Art Academy in Warsaw. He has done public commissions and is purchased by a number of museums and collections. Dahl has won an international prize for caricature drawing and The Ministry of Church and Education's annual picturebook prize. He has been a cartoonist in the newspaper Dagbladet for two decades and he has also illustrated a number of books.
Tegnerforbundet has guided tours every Wednesday at 16.30 during the exhibition period.
