Stilleben
Tegnerforbundet presents the exhibition Stilleben by Ingeborg Kvame. The exhibition consists of a selection of drawings and prints made from pressed plants. Kvame depicts a poetic encounter between the plant and paper, botanical materials that bestow a quiet transience, transformation and the traces that are left after a life cycle. The viewer is invited into a landscape that flows between light, airy voids and material elements.
When I press a flower, it is preserved and placed in a transient phase, the cycle is broken - the flower is dead, but it does not wither away. It holds a memory of both life and death. It gets a new, quiet life. (Ingeborg Kvame)
