In the project room, the illustrator Lars Aurtande shows the originals of his latest book "Larry's botanical studies". This is Aurtande's first picture book where he is responsible for design and content. The result has been a fascinating journey into your own visual world. Aurtande's normally colorful illustrations have this time been replaced with a black pen on paper. Here we find detailed studies of nature and technology in a fantastic reality not too far from our own. There are lots of stories and contexts to explore and tell, and the journey is equally exciting for both children and adults. All works are for sale.
Lars Aurtande (b. 1973) is a graduate of Einar Granum School of Art and the Kent Institute of Art & Design in England. He has previously received several awards and accolades for his work, and has illustrated books for e.g. Bjørn Arild Ersland and Endre Lund Eriksen. Several of his illustrations have been purchased by the National Library.
