What happens when a line refuses to represent, yet insists on existing? Can drawing be perceived beyond the eye — as weight, as tension, as movement in the air?

In the exhibition 56 Million Lines, Masoud Alireza (b. 1985, Tehran, Iran) explores drawing as a spatial and physical event. Alireza is known for expanding the medium beyond the two-dimensional surface. He does not treat the line as something merely visual, but rather as a living force that occupies and transforms space. When he calls (as a gesture) his act de-drawing, the act becomes not just something that can be seen, but something that can be experienced – an intersection between presence, perception and matter.

Other exhibitions during the period: Siv Bugge Vatne, Unknown Alphabet .
