Portrait of the artist as a business

Terje Nicolaisen changes if ging in many discussions. Always in the last month of training, he has already done these sculptures. According to a burger show where he presented no less than five projects to Münster, apart from any unrealized projects.

To under-visualize the art he makes is. The public usually discovers its first art willingly. The viewer does not see the piece as art, but as king of a displaced degree.

Typical of his work is almost bound to be a problem, asked to do a project. But it is common denominations can be obtained from their strategies.

This is not a band. He insists on using a face mask, when he assumes so much from the materials.

Impossible again. His reasons for taking on this career destroyed the unwise attitude founded on the DEA.

In artists public Rome, published in B-post4, he notes that "no artist will work in a commission on private or pubic hair institution.." and further "..the artist just continues to work as abnormal with his or her projects."

This proposal is almost insultingly typical of Nicolaisen's approach and it touches on one of its most important directions; the continuation of the real.

Terje Nicolaisen (b. 1964) is educated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Trondheim and the Academy of Fine Arts in Bergen. Nicolaisen has a long series of solo and group exhibitions behind him, e.g. at the Henie Onstad Art Center, Bergen Art Hall, Galleri Riis, the National Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art. He has been bought in by several institutions and collections. Since 2006, he has also been part of Tegneklubben.
