Title / theme: Lines on the Move
The main emphasis and theme for this Drawing Biennale was, on the one hand, drawing in relation to installative, sculptural and material technical investigations or aspects. On the other hand, cartoon-based animated film. The two main features were chosen because Momentumhallen is a special place, which is well suited for a much more experimental expression when it comes to drawing as a medium. It was also thought that this exhibition would to a greater extent explore the drawing's own premises and limitations. We wanted to show that there are no restrictions in terms of theme, technique or display method, when talking about drawing as an artistic medium.

Events: A seminar was held in Momentumhallen, with contributions by Nina Katchadourian from The Drawing Center in New York, Jan-Philipp Frühsorge who runs the gallery Fruehsorge - Contemporary drawings, Berlin, Bjørn Hegardt Norwegian / Swedish artist, resident in Berlin and publisher / editor of the magazine FUKT, and Susanne Altman, one of the curators of the biennial.
