El-Salahi and I.

A lecture on Ibrahim El-Salahi's influence on contemporary Sudanese artists.

Fadlabi shares his personal story of how he discovered El-Salahi's art, and gives some insight into the circumstances he thinks shaped them both. Fadlabi will also talk about the questions the intellectuals faced during Sudan's postcolonialism. How did artists like El-Salahi relate to these? And how did this affect new generations?
