Do you have children aged 10–13 who like to draw and want to learn how a comic is made – and then create their very own comic strips? We invite you to a drawing workshop with cartoonist and illustrator Anders N. Kvammen, where participants will be given exciting tasks such as transforming everyday moments from their own lives into funny, strange or cute little comic strips!
About the course
In this workshop, the possibilities of comics are in focus. Kvammen shares his unique philosophy and method, which is about challenging rules and norms – creating comics should first and foremost be fun and meaningful! Based on their own lives, interests or experiences, participants are challenged in the process from idea to finished comic strip. Kvammen shows how even completely everyday and seemingly banal situations can be transformed into creative and expressive comics. It could be something that happened yesterday, on the way to the course, or maybe something from a dream!
Kvammen places great emphasis on each individual finding their own style and voice. Participants are welcome to bring an iPad or their own drawing tools if they have something they particularly like to use. We will otherwise provide all necessary materials, such as paper, pencils and markers.
