Do you have children aged 10–13 who would like to learn how to make stop-motion films – frame by frame? We are hosting an animation workshop with Anna Sofie Mathiasen where the children can explore how cut-out drawings can be brought to life through animation!
About the course
In this creative and playful workshop, Anna Sofie shows how to use simple techniques to create animation in an animation box that Mathiasen herself has made, and which she uses in her own films – including Pet Follies, which can be watched for free on Filmbib with a library login (see link at the bottom of the page). Together we make a short 2D film, and everyone gets to create their own character – maybe your favorite animal or a fantasy creature? We draw, cut and animate together, and everyone gets to try their hand at animation. You don't need any prior knowledge of drawing or animation – just curiosity and a desire to create! After the course, you will be sent the finished film, and you can take your character home with you.
