"Illustrator in Residence": Anette Heramb and Anne Liv Einarsen

The Norwegian Drawing Center's annual project "Illustrators in Residence" (IIR) aims to highlight the high quality and diversity that exists in Norwegian illustration art. By letting selected actors from the field make Tegnerforbundet's project room their own for three weeks in May, the public will gain insight into various work processes and greater knowledge of the field.

The third "Illustrators in Residence" in May is Anette Heramb and Anne Liv Einarsen.

With her project "The Letter Observations", Anette Heramb (1981) and Anne Liv Einarsen (1980) meet to fabricate around the alphabet. Here they bring print letters, stencils and want to look into what the letters can tell. For a long time, they have exchanged letters, words and pictures. On each side, in the east and west, they respond to each other's whims. Both letters and signs can help to create surprises and meeting points, where they can talk and write about what they see along the way. Together, they examine the displacements, reverberations and the stories that arise in the meeting between them, the audience and in the project room. Can they get help to form a chapter? The public is invited to present their letter finds during the week, and to explore the tools.

Anette Heramb lives in Oslo, and has a master's degree from the Oslo Academy of the Arts. She draws and builds on the sheet, and investigates how the action and the tool can help to tell a story. She has previously had a solo exhibition Tegnerforbundet , and participated in group exhibitions. She has been a facilitator and held workshops for children and young people at DOGA and at the Henie Onstad Art Center.

Anne Liv Einarsen lives in Bergen, and runs A UNIT, a window gallery and studio, in her local environment. Here she explores compositions of text fragments, image collage and installation in work with the book and its location. She has a master's degree from the Oslo Academy of the Arts, and has participated in group exhibitions, among others. by artist-run gallery spaces. Now she is a communicator in Kulturkarusellen under the auspices of Bergen Kulturskole.
