Are you between 13 and 18 years old and interested in learning more about manga and how to make your own manga story? Then we recommend joining our manga workshop with instructor Hiwar Nheli!
There is no requirement for the participants' prior knowledge, and both experienced artists and beginners are most welcome. All participants will receive guidance that suits their level. During the course you will get an overview of the manga's history and what manga is, before you learn how to create your own manga stories, from script to finished story.

About the instructor:
Hiwar Nheli is the author and illustrator behind the series "Mantikorens Kongerike" in the manga anthology Rakkan , published by Outland Forlag. Hiwar was born in Kurdistan and grew up in Norway. He is strongly inspired by manga creators such as Akira Toriyama, Masashi Kishimoto, Eiichiro Oda and Hiro Mashima, and authors JRR Tolkien and George RR Martin. Hiwar is a trained media expert and runs the podcast Kompisprat , which aims to engage multicultural Norwegians politically, socially and culturally. Today he works as a teacher in the comics and manga line at Bjerkely Folkehøyskole.
