Join an animation workshop where imagination can flow, play and explore! Together with illustrator and filmmaker Annette Saugestad Helland, children will explore how drawings can come to life and become small animated films.
About the course:
During the workshop, participants get to create their very own fantasy animal: perhaps a flying lion, a dancing octopus with a hat, or a monster with a thousand eyes? Using simple drawing techniques and stopmotion/step-by-step animation, children learn how a drawing can be transformed into movement, expression, and personality.
This is a playful, exploratory and fun workshop, adapted to the age group participating, where there are no right or wrong answers – just lots of room for imagination and creativity! Annette also shows glimpses from animated films she herself is working on.
All participants take their fantasy animal home with them, and after the course they will be sent a link to the finished mini-film they have made.
