Join visual artist Zarina Saidova for an exploratory drawing workshop where we create our own fanzines – small self-published booklets full of drawings, ideas, opinions and imagination!
About the course:
Fanzines have long been used as a creative space for expression and a tool for saying exactly what you want, in your own way. Here you get to test how you can cut, paste, draw, fold and assemble your own booklet from scratch. No prior knowledge is required, just curiosity and a desire to create something personal and raw. Bring your friends or come alone, this is the Thursday evening where you can unleash both your creativity and freedom of expression!

Price: NOK 100 (course materials and equipment used in the courses are included in the price). Binding registration, the fee is non-refundable.
About the course leader:
Zarina Saidova (b. 1992 in Kazakhstan) lives in Oslo. She is an illustrator, series creator and publisher of the comic book publisher Træsh. Saidova has a master's degree in graphic design and illustration from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts, and has participated in group exhibitions at, among others, KÖSK, Tegnerforbundet and Telemark Art Museum. In 2024, after nineteen years in Norway, she was deported to Kazakhstan. That same year, she participated in the Autumn Exhibition with the work "Mine Brev", a response to the first decision she received from the UDI in 2023.
The event is part of the outreach program YOUTH IN DRAWING, which is supported by the DNB Savings Bank Foundation.
