_

This course is part of the Norwegian Artists' Association's new initiative project "Mellomrommet" - a creative offering for children in grades 5-7. Do you know children aged 10–13 who would like to explore drawing as sculptural, living installations? Then we can recommend the drawing workshop Drawing in a Shadow Room with visual artist Amalie Vestergaard Olsen!

About the course

In this workshop we explore drawing in an expanded format – as small, living installations. We start by drawing, cutting and carving figures in cardboard, which later become characters in a kind of shadow theatre. We experiment with lighting and see how different effects can bring life to the figures and the space they move in. During the course, participants will learn about different materials and drawing tools, and cool drawing techniques in combination with form, light and space. The course is an in-depth study of the weekend course Drawing in Shadow Space on Saturday 11 October.
