Join us for an exciting and educational drawing workshop at Tegnerforbundet ! Here, participants receive a thorough introduction to drawing with gray pencil, and learn how text and image can play together. The workshop is led by visual artist Ottar Karlsen, who shares tips, techniques and methods from his own practice.
About the course:
In this course we delve into the expressive possibilities of the grey pencil, with a particular focus on technique, precision and observation. Participants learn how to use the pencil to create values, contrasts, light, dark and shadows, and how small details can give depth and life to drawings.
We also explore how drawn motifs can be combined with text, either as a story, fragments, words or sentences - and how text can enhance or challenge the visual expression. Through practical exercises, participants get to try out different approaches to the interaction between image and language. The courses are adapted to the target group that participates. This is a course for children who are curious about drawing, and who want to develop their drawing skills further!
