Tegnerforbundet at Serieteket: A sculptural drawing workshop - Create your own fairytale house!

This course is a collaboration between the Norwegian Artists' Association's outreach program YOUNG IN DRAWING and Serieteket, Deichman Grünerløkka. YOUNG IN DRAWING is part of the Drawing Campaign and supported by the Sparebankstiftelsen DNB.

Join us for a magical and creative drawing workshop at Serieteket, Deichman Grünerløkka! Here imagination and form are given free rein! Together with visual artist Alejandra Aguilar Caballero, young people are invited to draw, fold and build their very own fairy tale house.

About the course:

In this workshop we explore drawing as both an image and an object. Participants learn to use different drawing tools and techniques to create patterns, figures, windows and doors, and perhaps an animal or creature that lives in your house? The drawings are further shaped into a three-dimensional paper house, where imagination determines the architecture. We work with colored paper, tissue paper and cardboard, and use crayons, markers and ink to create atmosphere and details. Towards the end of the course we test how the fairy tale houses change in an atmospheric night room - lit, mysterious and almost alive. A sensual and playful drawing course for anyone who loves to create and tell stories through images and form.
