The latest edition of NUMER is now available in the gallery and online store +++ You can also buy NUMER at Textstallmenningen and in the book salon at the House of Literature in Bergen.
In Numer #135 we present a richly illustrated interview with the 85-year-old legend Finn Graff. Stig Andersen has visited the illustrator who for years has shone as a satirical cartoonist in newspapers, and we show a selection of drawings from his entire career. We also republish an interview with Irma Salo Jæger, written by Lene Fjørtoft, for the Norwegian Drawing Center's exhibition Abstract Drawing. Ingun Bøhn dusts off well-worn books from the library and reminds us of the Swedish illustrator legend Eva Eriksson. Egon Låstad describes the life and work of comic book pioneer and illustrator Ivar Mauritz-Hansen, while Anja Dahle Øverbye follows up from the previous issue and teaches us how to make watercolors. Marianne Andresen, who turns 90 this year, has lived a life that differs from most artists in this country. Ingun Bøhn describes a keen draughtswoman who, despite a demanding life as a full-time employee in her husband's company, still found time to cultivate her artistic talent. We are pleased to announce that the book reviews are back in the magazine, and we conclude with a review of the book Portrait of a Body by Julie Delporte. There hasn't been a book review in the magazine since 2019, but now there will be some in print and mostly online in the future.
