IN Numer In #136 we will once again meet fantastic cartoonists. Sigfrid Hernes is the issue's standard bearer, and in the conversation with Tora Døskeland we will go out into the mountains in the north to sense and exist. Earlier this year, Lene Fjørtoft curated the exhibition Abstract at Tegnerforbundet . On that occasion, she interviewed all the artists, and here we share the conversation she had with Anne Rolfsen . Inger Marie Kjølstadmyr has visited children's book and cartoon creator Annika Linn Verdal Homme and the Riso machine that became a turning point for her artistic practice. Anja Dahle Øverbye interviews award-winning illustrator Bjørn Brochmann who shares his thoughts on drawing and process. Then we get a glimpse of late summer to warm ourselves up with, in Nina Mauno Schønsby's meeting with artist Trude Johannesen . In the interview, Schønsby takes us to the island of Søndre Sandøy in Hvaler, and to Mikrogalleri Nor where Johannesen exhibited twelve fanzines called Zodiakdagbøkene .
We will also meet four cartoonists who use the online portal Patreon to reach out to their readers. Linn Isabel Eielsen, Torbjørn Lien, Mia Thrane Hansen and Didrik Magnus-Andresen share their experiences with Numer . Finally, critic Morten Harper serves up a double book review with Norway's youngest border patrol agent, Astrid Linerud , at the center. The cartoon Sabotør – Grenselos by John Jamtli and the illustrated children's book Farlig oppården , written by Lena Lindahl and illustrated by Camilla Billett , are reviewed.
Front and back: Sigfrid Hernes.
