About the performance:
I move as I rewrite // I rewrite as i move is a process-based performative work around regenerative narratives and acts that transform narratives. The work takes on the duality of pleasure – pain, shame –, and uses a series of movements to deal with the negociation stages that one goes through while tackling with these dualities.
The work is composed by a puzzle of 5 frames, senses, or moments. We propose that a puzzle piece is shown at each of the venues of the Tegnetriennale, and in that way create a link between the participating venues.
About the performers:
Marie Cole graduated from the University for the Creative Arts (UK) with an MA in Visual Communication and a BA in Graphic Design: Visual Communication. Her most recent solo exhibition was at Studio 17 in Stavanger.
Valentina Martínez holds a PhD from the University of Sorbonne, Paris. Martínez is a dancer, researcher and artist. She has co-created a number of choreographic works.
