About the exhibition
The exhibition "My life! My choice?" shows a selection of Erik Werenskiold's drawings made for Jonas Lee's novel Familien på Gilje together with new works by the two Norwegian contemporary artists Hanne Lydia Opøien Figenschou and Gelawesh Waledkhani.Curator Mariken Kramer and curator Møyfrid Tveit give you an insight into how the three artists portray different people's living conditions and life choices. The drawings reflect contrasts, but also similarities between society today and 170 years ago.
